First of all, hello to all my lovely followers and a big hello to my new followers. I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a while but if you follow me on social media you’ll already know that things have been a bit busy lately, but I’m back now and I’m here to update you all on what’s been going on.
So… We’ve moved house! The last month leading up to the move was absolutely stressful. We thought we were going to lose our house at one point, the vendor was threatening to pull out if we didn’t complete by September. As you can imagine it completely stressed us out, I think it definitely stressed me out the most. I’ve spent every day for the last month chasing up solicitors, estate agents and various other places to get hold of documents that the solicitors needed and then there were a few trips to the solicitors office as well. But yeah, it’s all done now and we completed our sale and purchase just in time on Friday 24th August.
Moving day went smoothly and I couldn’t of asked for anything more. We were all moved in by lunch time which was just amazing. My other half unfortunately couldn’t get the day off work so it was all down to me with the help of our amazing family.
We have pretty much unpacked everything now and started plans to decorate, boy does it need decorating! The house had been empty since April so as you can imagine it was very dusty, a bit smelly and home to a lot of spiders. The decor is not to our taste at all so we’re very excited to put our own stamp on it and make it ours. In fact, the current decor is quite dated and done pretty badly but the house has so much potential, which is what we saw in the house when we first viewed it back in May. Good job my dad is an ex painter and decorator!
So we’ve been here for almost a week already. I’ve really found it quite difficult adjusting to be honest but I’m getting there now. Fletcher and Eden have settled in really well, I’m quite surprised. They absolutely love their new garden, once they go out there I can’t get them back in.
At the moment we don’t have any internet, we have a date set for installation so once we are all set up I will give you all a tour of our new home. I’m currently using my phone data so I’m trying to use it sparingly. I feel so cut off from the world without internet, haha. How did people cope back in the old days?!
As well as moving house I’ve taken up a new hobby making hair bows. My friend has also taken up the hobby which is really nice because we’re always bow shopping and sharing ideas and fabrics. Eden has now got a rather big bow collection, but as a girl, you can never have too many bows right? I’m currently spending my days getting the new house together and most of my evenings making bows at the moment.
The summer holidays are nearly over and Fletcher is starting pre-school next Thursday and I cannot wait to get back to our normal routine now.
I do apologise for the lack of exciting photos in the post but due to no internet I’m currently using the app and it’s not that great for photos. Hopefully in my next update I will have lots to show you!
